Rectors, who stated that the new Higher Education Motion, prepared by the Education Ministry was “unacceptable,” met Gen. Yalman. Gen. Yalman told rectors, “You are the rectors of universities, which defend the indispensable principles of the Republic of Turkey. Do not make concessions on the basic philosophy of the Republic of Turkey.”
