Turkey’s regular energy usage rises by 14.2pct on June 6


(MENAFN) Based on the official numbers released by the Turkish Energy Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday, regular electricity usage in Turkey climbed by 14.20 percent on Monday in comparison to the prior day, standing at 897,515 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS statistics, hourly electricity usage reached 44,199 megawatts per hours at 15.00 regional time (1200 GMT). At 06.00 regional time, the nation’s power use has plummeted to its lowest point of 27,752 megawatts per hours (0300 GMT).

On Monday, electricity output reached 892,740 megawatts per hours, an increase of 14.28 percent over the prior day.

Natural gas power factories contributed by 22.6 percent of overall electricity, whereas hydropower and imported coal power factories constituted by 19.4 percent and 13.4 percent, correspondingly.
