Prayers For Pope in Jerusalem and Bethlehem

Many Palestinian Christians both in Jerusalem and Bethlehem are following the news of the Pope’s health condition with anxiety, Emced Sabara, a Catholic priests of the Nativity Church in Bethlehem said: "We have been following the situation since the early morning and are very sorry about the health condition of the Pope."

In the Catholic churches of this small town, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, special prayers are being held for 84 year-old Pope, whose condition is announced as "very serious" by Vatican. Many Palestinians, who remember Pope’s visit to the holy lands in 2000, have said that Pope’s visit to Bethlehem and the Dayshe Refugee Camp united Muslims and Christians.
