Israeli President to Visit Turkey
The Israeli President will be received by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and will meet with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul. Turkey is expected to send Israel a message of support and hope.
Katsav has invited the President of the Union of Israelis in Turkey, Momo Uzsinay to attend. In the course of the presidential visit, Uznisay will deliver a presentation of the union’s history, purpose and activities both in Turkish and Hebrew languages, along with a dossier containing the union’s expectations of both countries. The union has already has about 100,000 Turkish Israeli supporters in Israel.
Israel Minister of Foreign Affairs Silvan Shalom was also in Turkey a while back.
