Unakitan said, “With the falling interest rates, a huge amount of capital will flow to Turkey.” He said that there was an increased interest for Turkey among international investors because of improving economic conditions. He added that the investors wanted to increase their portfolio investments and enter the stock exchange of Turkey. Unakitan said that Philip Morris was interested in Tekel (State Monopoly) but the other investors did not want their names to be publicized.
