US warship blocks crude oil tanker from sailing to Iranian port: Central Command

A US warship prevented a crude oil tanker from sailing to an Iranian port over the weekend, Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Monday, the latest interdiction under the ongoing blockade.
“Guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) enforces the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports against M/T Stream after it attempted to sail to an Iranian port,” CENTCOM said on US social media platform X.
It said the incident happened Sunday, but did not provide further details, including the location or how it knew the M/T Stream was sailing to an Iranian port. The vessel is a crude oil tanker, according to data on the Marine Tracker website.
