US Finished with Felluce, Moves on to Musul

US military official Angela Bowman said that approximately 1,000 US and Iraqi military forces took action to seize police stations in the western parts of the city. Bowman noted that five bridges in the city were closed at the beginning of the operation. Residents say US warplanes and helicopters have been flying over the city and the sound of explosions and gunshots have been heard near a US military base in the north of Mosul. Insurgents in Mosul had raided nine police stations, seized the weapons there, and set the stations on fire.
