Turkiye Earthquake Emergency Response: The Meeting Minutes of the AAP Task Team, Monday, 27 March 2023, 11:00– 12:30 – Türkiye

Summary of the Discussion

The Accountability to Affected Populations Task Team (AAP TT) convened
for the first time within the scope of the Türkiye EQ Response to formally
establish the AAP Task Team, which will support the ongoing response keep
the views, needs, and perspectives at the center of the response, from
service provision to advocacy. As an intersectoral body, AAP TT consist of
focal points from members of various sectors under the Flash Appeal.
Simply, the TT will work towards ensuring that information is flowing
between communities and service providers within the response by
identifying information gaps of and feedback from affected communities
and addressing them collectively. AAP TT will facilitate circulation of
messages emerging from these efforts with all relevant parties including
but not limited to decision-makers and community members.
The TT will work on community engagement channels and communication
with communities’ tools as part of key areas of cooperation and
collaboration. The starting point of this activity is to map out the existing
capacity and tools of members and investigate option on how to build on
them.
