Turkish director’s film wins top honours at Italy’s movie awards

The film, “La Finestra di Fronte” (“The Window Opposite”), also received David awards for best leading actor and actress and best original score, coming out the main winner at Wednesday’s night ceremony in Rome.

The 44-year-old Ozpetek lives in Rome. His previous films include the 1997 “Hamam” (“Turkish Bath”) and the 2001 “Le Fate Ignoranti” (“The Ignorant Fairies”).
