(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 5,076.89 points on Tuesday, decreasing 0.38 percent, or 19.4 points, from the prior end.

On Monday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index fell 1.84 percent to end the session standing at 5,096.29, with a day to day exchange volume of 76 billion Turkish liras (USD4.03 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira selling price stood at 18.8117 as of 10.12 AM regional time (0712GMT), the euro/lira trading price reached an amount of 20.3930, whereas a British pound sold for 23.2312 Turkish liras.

International benchmark Brent crude exchanged at USD84.11 a barrel as of 10.12 AM regional time (0712GMT), a 0.46 percent decline from the ending price of USD84.50 per barrel in the prior exchange session.

The American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) sold at USD77.45 a barrel at the same time, a 0.57 percent decrease after the last session ended at USD77.90 per barrel. Whereas the cost of one ounce of gold stood at USD1,914.55.
