Turkey’s Erenli Serbian plant to begin operations in early 2023 – report

BELGRADE (Serbia), December 9 (SeeNews) – Turkish rubber manufacturer Erenli will begin operations at its automotive cooling systems plant in Leskovac, in southern Serbia, in the beginning of 2023, local media reported.

Erenli was supposed to begin operations this year, but postponed the launch because of the situation in Ukraine and market disturbances, the mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic, said, as quoted by news agency Jugvesti on Thursday.

Erenli completed in March the first phase of the construction of the 16.6 million euro ($17.5 million) plant.

The plant will hire around a hundred people at its launch and 350 by 2025, Erenli managing director Ercin Sahin said at the time.

According to the Serbian business registry, Erenli is solely owned by Turkish-based Erenli SAC profile rubber plastic sanayi ve ticaret anonim sirketi. It was founded in November 2021 with a capital of 12,000 dinars ($108/102).
