Turkey’s CRC imports up 37.9 percent in January-June


In June this year, Turkey’s cold rolled coil (CRC) imports declined by 13.4 percent month on month and rose by 24.3 percent year on year to 78,542 mt, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $69.20 million, decreasing by 6.9 percent compared to May and increasing by 3.1 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-June period of this year, Turkey’s CRC imports amounted to 436,831 mt, up 37.9 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these imports totaled $347.72 million, advancing by 4.7 percent compared to the same period of 2022.

In the first six months of this year, South Korea ranked first among Turkey’s CRC import sources, supplying 177,224 mt, up 136.7 percent year on year, while South Korea was followed by Russia with 103,801 mt.
