Turkey’s BIST 100 index decreases at Thursday’s open to stan…


(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 5,371.28 points on Thursday, decreasing 0.24 percent or 12.89 points from the prior end.

On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index saw a surge of 1.3 percent to end the day standing at 5,384.17, with a day to day exchange volume of 124.12 billion Turkish liras (USD6.6 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira selling price stood at 18.7955 as of 10.00 AM regional time (0700GMT), the euro/lira trading price reached an amount of 20.2820, whereas a British pound exchanged for 23.1625 Turkish liras.

International benchmark Brent crude exchanged at USD83.92 a barrel as of 9.20 AM regional time (0620GMT), decreasing 1.25 percent from the ending price of USD84.98 per barrel in the prior exchange session.

The American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) sold at USD78.63 a barrel at the same time, a 1.47 percent drop following the prior session ended at USD79.8 per barrel. While the value of one ounce of gold stood at USD1,909.95.
