Turkey: Trade deficit widens to $13 bn

Exports increased by a yearly 30.4 percent to $29.325 billion, while imports were $42.409 billion, a rise of 33.5 percent over the same period last year.

In August alone, the deficit grew 45.1 percent to $2.060 billion, with exports climbing 25.1 percent to $3.708 billion and imports growing by 31.6 percent to $5.769 billion, DIE said.
The deficit widened to $4.54 billion in the first seven months of the year.
