Turkey: Terrorism should not be political instrument

Speaking to Anatolia news agency, Cicek said terrorism is not only casting a threat for the country, but also all the world.

"The international community should understand the importance of this cooperation," said Cicek and added, "Terrorism should not be used as a political instrument."

Cicek recalled that the terrorist organization Kurdistan Freedom and Democracy Congress (KADEK, former name PKK) was branded by the United States as a terrorist organization, but the European Union failed to show the same attitude.

Cicek also said Turkey and Bulgaria has a lucrative cooperation, adding this cooperation will improve gradually.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian Prime Minister Simeon Sakskoburgotski made the opening speech of the meeting, and said he believes the meeting will take some measures to make fighting terrorism more efficient.

"Within this framework, Bulgaria made many legal changes to ease the cooperation in terrorism," said Sakskoburgotski.
