Turkey: Preparation underway for Iraq deployment

According to a report by NTV news channel, 28th mechanized Infantry brigade, which served in Bosnia and Afghanistan was also told to get ready.
If the decision to send troops to Iraq is taken, the command will be under general Umit Sahinturk.

Brigade level participation shows Turkish commitment would consist of 8 to 12 thousand troops. Preparations are expected to be complete by mid-september, when the decision will be made.
