Turkey critical of EU on KADEK

EU freezes all assets of the groups listed and those associated with the groups. Some terrorist organizations change their name to avoid the penalties. Turkey and Spain are critical of this procedure.

The list is renewed every 6 months and is submitted to all members and candidate members for their approval. Turkey for the first time has refused to ratify the list.

The reason behind the Turkish refusal is that PKK, by changing its name to KADEK, has avoided all the penalties and was not included in the list. EU has not provided an excuse for the issue.
