Toys left in front of the Israeli Consulate General in Istanbul, Turkey for Palestinian children killed in Gaza

This footage was filmed and produced 21 October 2023. Many mothers, fathers and their children left toys in front of the Israeli Consulate General in Besiktas district of Istanbul, against Israel’s killing of Palestinian children in Gaza. Children chanted slogans such as “Murderer Israel, get out of Palestine” and “Murderer Israel, don’t touch the children.” People who came to the protest upon the call of associations working with children carried banners supporting the Palestinians. SPEECHES 01:03:03 – 01:15:25 Emel Tuylu (a mom): “Children in Palestine cannot grow up, they are currently being murdered and subjected to genocide. We came to leave a toy for them. We are very sorry, we stand with them. That’s all we could do.” 01:51:59 – 02:52:55 Sumeyye Altun, President of the Children of Earth Association: “These toys are stained with blood with every child Israel murders. We no longer want to see the bloody and mutilated bodies of children, but images of them playing with their toys while they are safe at home. For this reason, we invite everyone, especially institutions working for children around the world, to take action to stop this genocide committed by Israel and to impose sanctions. Israel has murdered 1,524 children in front of the whole world since October 7. These are not just a number, they are someone’s children, siblings, friends. We would raise the world up if someone harmed even a single hair of our children. Thousands of children killed in Gaza are also someone’s children.”
