S&P raises Turkey credit rating

Though there had been some delays in implementing structural reforms in the Turkish economy, Turkey’s credit position had improved, according to a statement from S&P, issued on Monday.
There were expectations that there would be falls in interest rates on Turkey’s debt with a loosening of the real interest rates in the country, the statement said.
However, S&P did not revise its outlook for Turkey, keeping its advisory information rating as static.
