Rumsfeld defends US position on Turkish troops

ANKARA – U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld defended the administration after it came under fire for mishandling relations with Turkey.

Addressing the way the government dealt with potential Turkish troops in Iraq, Rumsfeld said, "I would definitely not say that this issue has been mishandled by the administration," according to the Anatolia news agency.
