‘People Pay 36% More Tax Due To Corruption’

At the Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) Ordu Provincial Congress, along with Forestry Minister Osman Pepe, over the weekend, Guler said that his ministry had built up political confidence in the eight months after coming to the power. He claimed that they had stopped corruption, and he vowed that they would go after any new instances of corruption.

Turning to the subject of energy sources, Guler pointed out that his ministry’s comprehensive study of geological research had led to explorations scheduled to begin tomorrow. The explorations, a joint effort of British Petroleum (BP) and Turkish petroleum monopoly Turkish Petroleum Inc. (TPAO), will start in the eastern part of the Black Sea.
