ANKARA, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) — Thousands of hand-woven carpets neatly arranged in fields for sterilization and pastel hues in summer sunshine create vibrant and picturesque scenes in Dosemealti district in Antalya, south of Türkiye.
The district is renowned for its exquisite hand-woven carpets and rugs colored with natural dyes. Once the summer harvest concludes, the agricultural lands transform into what locals commonly refer to as “carpet fields.”
Carpet makers carefully place the carpets in these fields, side by side, to bask in the sunshine throughout the summer until September, ensuring the carpets receive sufficient sun exposure and attain their desired coloration.
