Magnitude 5 quake jolts eastern Türkiye


ANKARA

A magnitude 5 earthquake struck Türkiye’s eastern Van province, the country’s disaster agency reported late Sunday.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the quake took place at 21.35 p.m. (GMT1835) local time in the province’s Tusba district.

It was measured at a depth of 18.36 kilometers (11.4 miles), according to AFAD.

There are no reports of injury or major damage so far.
