Maccabi travelled to Turkey – Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club

As the World Cup continues to draw most of the attention and all domestic football is placed on hold until the end of the tournament in Qatar, Maccabi Tel Aviv will step up its’ preparations for the remainder of the season. Vladimir Ivic’s charges jetted out to Turkey where they will hold a winter training camp in Antalya between November 27th and December 5th.

You could find all the updates and photos from the winter training camp on the clubs’ social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter as well as the official website and Application.

Shortly before take off, veteran captain, Sheran Yeini, spoke about the first training camp in the middle of the season and said: “We are not used to this but nonetheless it will allow us a lot of time to work and prepare for the second league round. This is also a good time for the players who were not with us in the previous (summer) training camp to work with us. We expect to have enough time to improve our bonding both socially and tactically. We will work even harder to be fully prepared to the second league round. We would like to kickstart the round at full speed”.

During the training camp Ivic’s charges will have an intense work-out ahead of the remainder of the 2022/23 domestic season. Maccabi will hold two friendly matches against Antalyaspor (30.11) currently 11th in the Tukish Super League and Adana Demirspor (4.12) currently 3rd.

Maccabi is set to return to action on December 7th as they host Hapoel Jerusalem for a Toto Cup tie, before facing second division outfit Hapoel Um el Fahm for a State Cup tie (December 11th).
