Iran: Violent protests break out in Samirom
Clashes broke out when the crowd became very numerous and started attacking the town hall. Individuals set fire to tyres and smashed the windows of shops, homes, cars and public buildings, leading to the deaths of several people. There is no definite report of how many demonstrators or riot policemen have been killed during the protests against planned changes to its administration.
Planned administrative changes have sparked bloody protests in Iran on several occasions in recent years.
