Indian PM’s visit to Turkey begins on Tuesday

Besides holding talks with his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on a number of issues of mutual interests, including developments in Iraq and terrorism, Vajpayee would also call on the Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.

Like India, Turkey has not not taken any decision about sending troops to Iraq.

The two sides are likely to finalise agreements to bolster bilateral trade and economic ties. India has already given its nod to a proposal for visa free travel between the two countries for diplomatic passport holders.
