I received military training in a camp of Al-Qaeda

Yitiz said, “I received military training in a camp of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. I met Habib Aktas and Azad Ekinci (the master-mind of the raids) in this camp. I prepared the bombs upon their request. I had no information about where they would use them. However, I guessed that they would attack some American or Israeli targets. We converted a small detergent manufacturing plant, which was rented with my false ID card, into a laboratory to produce explosives. I personally prepared the bombs and the mechanisms on them. We loaded them into trucks. Following the attacks I went first to Van, and then to Iran, with my own passport.” Yitiz said that he returned to Turkey because he believed that he was not sought after for he did not see his name on the screen or in newspapers.
