Hilton plans to develop 100 hotels in Europe until 2014
Other highlights of the latest additions in the chain has been the DoubleTree by Hilton Bucharest, Unirii Square , the hotel has entered Romania earlier this month, and the Hilton Garden Inn Sanliurfa, southeastern Turkey , whose inauguration adds to the recent openings carried out throughout this year in Istanbul , Bodrum and Avanos in the region of Cappadocia .
Regarding his future plans, Patrick Fitzgibbon , senior vice president of Hilton Worldwide Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "We expect 2011 to be another year of extraordinary growth with the announcement of some truly exceptional signing of agreements and openings that strengthen our offer. Strategic development markets like the UK , Italy , Turkey, Russia and Poland continues to offer great opportunities for our brands, allowing Hilton Worldwide have a significant presence in each of these countries. For example, only in Turkey we plan to open 11 hotels in 2011, a total of 34 newly opened or under development in this country, a tremendous achievement. "
Specifically in the UK the company has signed a management agreement with the Football Association to open an establishment brands combined Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hampton by Hilton in the St. George’s Park in Burton-upon-Trent next summer . It is also expected to open new hotels in Wembley, Croydon, Newcastle, Birmingham and Lincoln before the end of 2012.
