Glasgow mum met love of her life in Turkey but pals say he’s ‘with her for visa’

A Glasgow mum met the love of her life on a girls’ holiday but was confronted with cruel claims from friends that he was only with her for a visa.

Amy Urgurla fell head-over-heels with handsome Mahsum after adding him on Facebook following a brief meeting at a bar in Turkey.

The 34-year-old had been on a break with friends recovering from a failed relationship when the pair got chatting at the beach resort of Kusadas.

They exchanged numbers, and when carer Amy returned home, a long distance romance blossomed before she visited Mahsum twice.

When lockdown hit in 2020 the couple were kept apart for eight months, but their relationship continued to develop online and by phone.

But their relationship had its critics among some of Amy’s friends, who told her she was naive and as Mahsum was only with her for a visa.
