European champion Artur Davtyan, Team Armenia return from Turkey, are welcomed at Yerevan airport (LIVE) | NEWS.am Sport

The Armenian national gymnastics team have returned home from Antalya, Turkey. They were welcomed home with greater fanfare at Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan.

Armenia’s Artur Davtyan achieved a glorious victory at the 2023 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships. The world and European champion became the European champion in Antalya in the men’s Vault event, and the Armenian national anthem was played and the flag was raised in his honor.

Davtyan had become the European champion in the Vault in 2021, too.

Team Armenia finished the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships with 3 medals (1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze).

The previous day, Vahagn Davtyan became the European silver medalist for the second time in the Rings exercise, and Artur Davtyan won the bronze medal in the Pommel Horse.
