Errick McCollum is heading to Turkey

A former EuroCup MVP Errick McCollum is signing a contract with Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, sources told BasketNews.

Per BasketNews sources, a 34-year-old combo guard is finalizing a two-year deal.

McCollum was the top EuroCup scorer last season, before his team, Lokomotiv Krasnodar, was excluded from the competition.

Former EuroCup champion averaged 22.2 points, 3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 24.2 PIR.

He exploded for a EuroCup career-high 33-point performance in a win against Partizan Belgrade 101-94. He has reached the 30-point mark again against MoraBanc Andorra.

McCollum had another remarkable performance against Trento with 29 points, 13 assists, and 39 PIR.

Karsiyaka, coached by Ufuk Sarica, competes in the Basketball Champions League.

Izmir finished 7th in the Turkish League regular season and forced EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes Istanbul to a decisive Game 3 in the quarterfinals.

McCollum won the EuroCup with Galatasaray in 2016. The same year he was named the MVP of the competition.

McCollum also played for another Turkish team Anadolu Efes Istanbul.
