Brit baby dies on Turkey family holiday after ‘struggling to breathe at hotel’

A British baby has died after suffering ‘breathing difficulties’ on a family holiday in Turkey.

The parents called for emergency assistance on Saturday while staying at a five star hotel in Serik.

They raised the alarm when their six-month-old daughter started having trouble breathing.

Despite their desperate efforts, hospital staff were unable to save the tot, according to local media reports.

An investigation has been launched at the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute to find the cause of death.

The country is still recovering from the devastating earthquake that rocked the world in February.

Its catastrophic 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude quakes were followed by some 11,000 aftershocks.
