At least 30,000 Homeless in Indonesia

Byrs said in a press briefing that 20,000 people are homeless due to the earthquake in the south of Nias island and 12,000 are homeless in the island of Simeulue in the north.

The UN spokesperson noted that this number would increase as 80 percent of the buildings have been either damaged or demolished while the villages have been completely ruined.
