Qatar beat Turkiye to clinch handball gold at Konya 2021

Qatar Olympic Committee Secretary-General Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain celebrates with Qatar’s players and officials after their 26-23 victory over hosts Turkiye in the men’s handball final at the Islamic Solidarity Games Konya 2021 in Konya, yesterday.

Asian champions Qatar led 14-10 at the half-time. Qatar are the third country to win the handball gold at the Games. Algeria claimed the gold in 2005 while Saudi Arabia won in 2017.
