LeBron James And The Miami Heat: The Official NBA Champions of 2012

It has been two years since LeBron James decided to become part of the Miami Heat line-up alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Hardcore NBA fans will remember how much of an impact this had among many as the controversy around three of the hottest players being part of the one team had drawn so much attention from all over the world.

Miami Heat had managed to reach the final series in 2011 but they fell short against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of that series. However, the team certainly made up for it in this year’s season as they managed to defeat one of the most relentless teams of the league.

Game 5 of the NBA Finals was held at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. After the Miami Heat’s loss to the Oklahoma Thunder in Game 1, they managed to garner four straight wins which earned the second NBA championship for the franchise.

LeBron James was named the Finals MVP as he scored 26 points with his 13 assists and 11 rebounds. He finished with a triple-double in what is undoubtedly the biggest game of his entire basketball career. He achieved an average of 29.3 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists in this year’s series.

While LeBron James has had to deal with a lot of haters, people from all around the world will definitely agree that he took his game to a brand new level which he lived up to the entire season.

According to Pat Riley, team president of the Miami Heat, they have definitely built a team that people can expect to see around for quite some time.

For those who are not aware about the team’s background, the Miami Heat is actually the first team in NBA history of have managed to win the NBA Finals after falling behind in three different play-offs.

The clock read 3:01 left in the game when James, Wade, and Bosh were checked out of the game. The whole arena was roaring with energy in the remaining minutes of the game which they knew they were going to win. Even at the start of the fourth quarter, the fans and viewers had been shaking with noise with their 24-point lead at the start of the quarter. Soon enough, streamers and confetti filled up the arena as the winners rejoiced in their victory.

Nevertheless, the Miami Heat really did start off the game with a bang as they hit it right off in the opening. By the third quarter, they were on to a 19-1 run.

Even Miller who had been suffering from back problems had done exceptionally well in Game 5 with a postseason-career-high of 23 points. Wade managed to make 20 points alongside 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Wade and Udonis now have two rings up their sleeve with the Miami Heat. But despite it being Wade’s second championship win, he says that this year’s victory means so much more than the previous one.

At the end of the day, the sweet success that the Miami Heat had been hoping to get is finally theirs. After all, they came to achieve victory, and that’s exactly what they did.
