Cedar Revolutionists Held Largest Rally in Lebanon

Reportedly, the rally was the largest ever seen in Lebanon, nearly 800,000 people attended the protest.

The protesters, demanding light be shed on the Hariri assassination and called for the Syrian troop withdrawal from the country, caused a tremendous traffic jam upon their arrival in the capital, Beirut.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the Syrian pullout towards the Bekaa Valley, which began last week, continues and Syrian soldiers have completely evacuated north and northeastern parts of Lebanon. According to the two-phase plan announced by the Damascus administration recently, nearly 6,000 troops will leave Lebanon in the first phase of the pullout. Syria currently has 14,000 troops in Lebanon.
