YOK increases student quota for universities
YOK increased the student quota by 1.1 percent. Some 187,730 students were placed in university programs, 196,609 in short-term programs and 12,074 in programs requiring special abilities last year.
YOK will place 190,000 students in university programs, 198,000 in short-term programs and 12,884 in programs requiring special abilities this year. Thus, a total of 400,884 students will have university education.
Although YOK increased the quotas, most of the students who will take the OSS on Sunday will not be able to attend universities. Over 1.5 million students will take Sunday’s test.
