World Reacts Harshly to Israel’s Assassination of Rantisi

The Palestinian Prime Minister, Ahmed Kurey, accused the Washington administration of supporting Israel. The Hamas military wing promised 100 repercussions in revenge of Rantisi.

A White House statement released on Sunday said that "Hamas is a terrorist organization" and that "Israel has the right to defend itself." America warned Israel to be careful of the consequences of its attacks.

Elsewhere, Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, who has received the support of the U.S. administration on a one-sided separation plan, congratulated the army that killed Rantisi. Sharon indicated that the Israeli attacks will continue until his new plan about the settlers in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank can be put into practice.

Moreover, Sharon said his new plan would be developed with the support of U.S. President George W. Bush.
