Wireless system will connect all villages to the net

Speaking at the ceremony for the start of the construction of a school by former minister Isilay Saygun in honor of her mother Fatma, Celik reminded of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s statement, "Nothing can be taken into the coffin. Everyone is remembered by what he or she has left behind," adding that those who left something would be remembered by their legacy.

Celik said that Turkey had a very young and growing population, adding that if everyone, the state, people, political parties, nongovernmental organizations and others, made a common stance all big problems would be solved.

He said, since becoming the minister, the ministry had initiated 50 projects, including the distribution of free schoolbooks, adding that they were committed to spend taxpayers’ money on children.

Parents would learn about their child’s studies via the Internet or report cards could be sent to mobile phones.

He thanked Saygun for her efforts, adding that they were ready to help in every way possible during the building of the school.
