We Introduced the Ballot Box to OIC

Ihsanoglu who was elected as the Secretary General of OIC said that he will be a bridge for those who wanted reforms. He pointed out that Turkey had introduced ballot box to OIC and, “This is very important.”

Ihsanoglu described his election by OIC as a turning point and said that he was to launch work in reforms of the Secretariat of OIC.

He said, “We should establish a team which comprises experts. I have been working at OIC for 25 years, so I know the times of bottle necks. I try to carry out work within this frame.

“The member countries of OIC have different levels of social, economic and industrial development and also different regimes. The reforms which I foresee, are not directly involved with the identity of Secretary General. However, we can extend assistance, if they asked for that.”
