We did not Blame Turkey

Turkey reacted negatively to an alleged connected to the explosions in Erbil. Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said: "These are ugly claims. We do not think it is appropriate to evaluate such claims."

Stating that Turkey’s past, present and future are based on peace and justice, Erdogan added: "Turkey has never been involved in such incidents–not since the beginning of the Republic, not during the Ottoman era, and not now."

The PUK’s high-ranking official, Berham Salih, announced that news reports claiming that the parties thought Turkey was responsible for the explosions were truly fabricated. Stating that the explosions in Erbil have only contributed to an improvement of the relations between Turkey and regional Kurdish administration, Salih continued to say: "Iraqi Kurds appreciate the Turkish government’s sincere partnership. In addition, Turkey has generously offered medical help for the casualties in Erbil and we are grateful for that."
