Washington: Turkish FM arrives in Washington

Gul went straight to the residence of Turkish Embassy after his plane landed at Dulles International Airport. Gul is scheduled to meet with Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Colin Powell and national security adviser Condoleezza Rice as well as several officials in Pentagon. Gul will focus on reconstruction of Iraq and contribution of Turkey to the coalition forces in the country. Gul is expected to return Ankara on Friday.
