Vatican Confirms Archbishop’s Release

Monsignor Petros Mouche of the Catholic Church confirmed the news of Kasmussa’s release from the Vatican.

Bagdat’s (Baghdad) Archbishop Matti Matoka announced Kasmussa’s abduction by armed people has ended in his release last night. Armed individuals forced Kasmussa to get into a car near the church. In a telephone conversation with religious leaders in Iraq, Kasmussa said the organization that kidnapped him demanded a ransom of $200,000.
