US: We don’t protect Iraqi Kurds

WASHINGTON (AA) – US State Department spokesman Adam Ereli said today that the US wouldn’t protect any ethnic group in Iraq and they believed in the country’s territorial integrity.

Upon reminded, Turkish Ambassador in US Faruk Logoglu’s critic about US’ Iraq policy, Ereli stated that they believed in a common political system that would quarantee all groups’ participating in politic arena.

Asked Talabani’s words saying that "Turkish troops issue in Iraq was closed" Ereli responded, "According to us, Turkish troops can play a valuable role in Iraq that would help Iraqis and we continue to seek ways towards this end."
