US soldiers in Iraq, angry at US President Bush..

A US sergeant in Iraq explained his reaction to the American government’s decisions. “I also have a most wanted list. [The US-appointed governor of Iraq] Paul Bremer, [US Secretary of Defense] Donald Rumsfeld, [US President] George Bush and [USA Deputy Secretary of Defense] Paul Wolfowitz are all on my playing cards.”

The occupying forces in Iraq claim that they have begun to suffer psychological problems because of the frequent attacks against them. American troops lost two men yesterday in separate incidents. In one, an ambush of a 30-vehicle convoy, one soldier died and two were injured. In Hille village, a marine died after falling from the roof of a building.

Since May 1, the US troops’ combat death toll has reached 33, and the number killed in ‘non-hostile’ incidents has increased to 49. During this same period, six British soldiers have been killed.
