US soldiers came to tea and pulled out guns

As the Turkish troops based in the Northern Iraqi town of Sulayminah were preparing tea and coffee for a small group of visiting US soldiers, the latter drew their guns and moved to take the Turks into custody, the Anatolian Agency (AA) reported on Tuesday.
At the same time, up to 100 other US paratroopers broke down the doors to the building and proceeded to enter, the report said. They then opened the safe in the building, removing a quantity of money and documentation and seizing all the weapons of the 11 man Turkish squad, AA said. These were later returned to Turkish military representatives.
One soldier standing outside the building when the raid took place immediately reported the Turkish armed forces headquarters in Ankara but was the also detained by US forces.
After the raid, the 11 men were taken from the building and later transferred to Baghdad, only being released and returned to Sulayminah on Monday.
