US predicts ‘bright future’ in Turkish-Iraqi ties

Neumann said he would also hold talks with Turkish officials Thursday over Ankara’s concerns that the new interim constitution of Iraq might lead to the break-up of the country. "We are establishing the foundations for a cooperation that will continue well beyond the American control in Iraq," the diplomat said. "It seems to me that we have a very bright future for Turkish-Iraqi economic cooperation and trade. There is alreday a great deal going on and I think that there will be more", he said.
