US Gives 3 Months to N. Korea to Return Nuclear Talks
Some diplomatic sources in Japan confirmed that the US secretary of State Condoleezza Rice expressed that the US could no longer wait for North Korea, during her visit to China last week. Same sources also indicated that the US administration would transfer the issue to the United Nations (UN) if North Korea does not return to the talks.
The Pyong Yang administration announced last month that it had nuclear weapons and withdrew from the six-party talks with Russia, China, South Korea, North Korea, Japan, and the US that had been launched earlier in an effort to solve this issue.
