UN food aid discovered as "spoiled" in Iraq
16 carrier trucks loaded with lentils departured from Mersin at the begining of the current month. Upon an investigation, the entire supply was discovered as “spoiled” and it was not accepted by Iraqi officials. The Turkish convoy has been kept in a field of United Nationts for ten days and Iraqi officials have not let Turkish drivers return to Turkey. UN officials did not make any comment on the issue.
