Ukrainian Parliament speaker due in Turkey

ANKARA (AA) – Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn and accompanying delegation will come to Ankara on March 12 as the guest of Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc.

Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhonva Rada of Ukraine, and accompanying delegation will be welcomed by Turkish-Ukrainian Friendship Group Chairman Emin Bilgic.

The delegation headed by Lytvyn will visit Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the Founder of Turkish Republic, the same day.

Lytvyn will also meet with Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc on March 12. Turkish and Ukrainian delegations will hold a meeting after the bilateral meeting of Arinc and Lytvyn.

Arinc and Lytvyn will hold a joint press conference following all these meetings.

The Ukrainian delegation will also meet with Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul the same day.

Lytvyn will also be received by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and be honored with a doctorate by Gazi University.

The Ukrainian delegation will meet with former president Suleyman Demirel and Crimean Tatars Culture and Solidarity Association Chairman Ahmet Kirimli.

Lytvyn and accompanying delegation will depart from Turkey on March 13.
